Discussion GLDAB New Program for Gliding of Ornithopter

[Kazu-kaku]

I changed a program of GLDAB as follows:
1. When throttle is moved to low position, motor works by the set output.
When magnetic force is detected, a motor stops.
2. The time when a motor works by the set output is one seconds.

By this change of Program Gear stops at same position and Wings lock by Rachet at Gliding position.

GLDAB is very good device for Gliding of Ornithopter. Total weight(GLDAB+Magnet+Sensor) is only 5-6g, and is very simlpe setting & structure.

Hi Mr.Kazu, I have always admired your hard work in making ornithopthers. Perhaps I may buy from you one day when you ready! Mr Kazu i have the glide modual too and i just like to ask, are you saying that this glide modual can be programed to stop directly at the rachet lock also on the slowhawk you have? I like the glide modual. More than half the time it locks in when the right adjustment are made.

Hi Mr.Francis I think I also have some of your orni/pictures from the past. The bird on you avitar is the bird that have V-tail on it? If i'm correct, is that an early work that Sean Kinkade produced? And also you have one with the red inner triangle wing with lime green feathers on it. If you do,they are very unique birds sir!. *THANKS* G-lo

I mounted new programed GLDAB on SlowHawk2 (brushed motor) now.

New programed GLDAB acted well.
All stops of Gear were the same positions where even if I moved throttole low.
I will flight SlowHawk2 with New programed GLDAB.

Yesterday, I flew Tupuxuara7-9, Chaoyangopterus8-8 and Kestral F6 with New GLDAB. GLDAB acted well and Ornithopters were gliding.
Adjustment of the output of a motor is necessary so that a wing is locked well.

I set New programed GLDAB on SlowHark2.
GLDAB acted well on SlowHark2.
GLDAB is very Good device for gliding of ornithopter.

I purchased this SlowHawk2 from OVIRC(Robert Korobelnik).
2 years and six month ago, I ordered SlowHawk2 to HobbyTechnik(Sean Kinkade), but this order product does not yet arrive at me.
Sean is a good engineer, but he is a bad sale person.
I ask him to send my order product many times.
From him, answers comes many times,
"Your bird ships out no later than Saturday afternoon. "
"You will now be receiving the new Slow Hawk 3 which in production now."
"I m very close to shipping to you." etc.
But, now, SlowHawk2 does not yet arrive to me.

I wish that Sean make good Ornithoper, and he sell it to a lot of people appropriately.
But, I think that it is not good that he does not execute a promise.

Mr. Fancis thank you for clearing that up for me. I always thought that was S.Kinkade's . Now I see that it was the inspiration of his that these birds look so close, yet unique! Good job !

Kazu about your slowhawk you purchased from S.Kinkade some time ago, im sorry that happen. Hopefully he will see this and produce your bird for the near future very soon..." G-LO

I purchased the main body of GLDAB from OVIRC.
I changed a program and made new HEX file.
And I wrote the HEX file in PIC12F683 of this GLDAB.

very often. I know nothing about computer programing like you do

I was wandering if I could send you my GLDAB glide unit? I would pay
you to reprogram it. If that would be alright?

There are three methods to write new HEXfile in PIC of GLDAB.
1--You download HEXfile from my web site and write PIC of GLDAB by PICwriter.

2--I send PIC12F683 in which I wrote new HEXfile.
You exchange it for PIC12F683 of GLDAB.
3--You send the GLDAB main body to me.
I renew HEXfile of PIC of GLDAB and I send it to you.
In this case, I do soft soldering in one part of a GLDAB base,
so that PIC of GLDAB connect to PICwriter.
And I cut off one part of wiring of GLDAB and I wire it again.


Payment is only the postage and a handling fee of postage.
When PIC12F683 is used(in case 2), payment for PIC is necessary.
PIC is about 2 dollars.
A method of payment is only PayPal.
