Productive insomniac

Woke up at 1:30am, staring at the ceiling. Had to get out of bed because I was being burried alive by the sawdust my wife was creating! Headed to the shop & add some color to the little Fox!

You're right not 3/16", it's only 5/32", we buy two lengths and use 1 1/2 lengths for our line.

In preperation for towing with the Pilatus

Besides towing practice with my little PA18 and Fox, Matt is also setting up his Kadet Sr. to tow his Multiplex Cularis! By the time we get the Pilatus ready to fly, we'll be towing pros!

Windrider FOX is what I was thinking.

My new one is the MPLX Easy Glider Pro.
I'll power it and use the Cularis for Tow !

Carefull with your tugs.

Paul and I managed to crack loose the TAIL on my Electric Tug.
We did this right after I put the Diagonal braces on it.

I'll have it repaired by noon today but , wheew Was I lucky to get down safely !

I also hope to have my MRaero Porter done by Spring. With 3W100 twin :-)
I'm going to put a Smart-Fly power unit in it as it'll sport 7 ea HS755mg servos.
It'll have the Fiber optic ignition cut off too and their switches for good measure.
Also
Tug pilots have told me that 64 OZ tanks are preferred for busy towing schedules.

Good to know! I have a 55oz. for our Pilatus. Don't know what size tank comes in the kit.

BTW: We have power for the Porter! Our 3W106 arrived today!

My tug became a glider the last time I flew it, so just did what gliders do, went and found a thermal, had a nice 10 minute soar with 1/3 cub!

Should be another week or two on the delivery of our Porter tug. Matt took the 3W home to start building an engine test stand rather than getting to know the 106 while mounted on the Pilatus.. I have a BME 26x10 wood two blade that we'll be running on the motor initially. I am ordering a 24x12 Mejzlik three blade that will give the PC6 a little more scale appearance(considering the fact that we may not be able to use the cowl..)
