What good receiver should I pick for beginner-moderate 3D flying? I have set up a post at http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1827322 . I don't know if I should use an AR6115e or an AR600 with an additional remote carbon fuse receiver because of this heli's frame... Please help

Im using AR6115e ok on mine and a DX6i, you will be fine with that especially as a reasonably cheap investment for beginners. No need for anything else..

The frame is mostly open, and if you get it far enough away for the carbon to shadow the receiver, you won't be able to see the model well enough to orientate it anyways!

yeah, its only small after all you shouldnt be able to go far enough to lose the signal and still see it! With the AR6115e I put one of the aerials vertically one horizontally similar to what you would do with the satellite, but i dont think it will ever be an issue.

I suggest checking and gluing in the screw securing the swashplate ball with the extension that fits into the anti reverse bracket. Its secured by a screw that goes through the whole lot. Somehow i missed that screw and after about 5 batteries its worked out never to be seen again...luckily i was on the ground and spinning down, happened when i flicked throttle hold on

Tail drive gear and mount got binned even after gluing the actual gear in place to stop it moving up the top bearing in the mount disintegrated totally! Guess that align replacement is now enforced rather than optional! TBH this part always looked unlikely to last...

Am I screwed? I don't have a screw extractor small enough.

Thanks I'll try that. I was able to drill out the same screw from my 450 hub but that was a lot bigger. I don't have a drill bit small enough for the 250. As for buying I can't find a FBL hub anywhere.

Is the tail drive gear shaft the same in the front of the boom and at the tail? Are they interchangeable?

managed to dump it again today. Snapped the feathering shaft in 2 as it hit the ground, resulting in the blades seperating and 1 blade obviously striking the boom - smashed off one of the boom supports and folded the boom where the little fin is attached! Also bent the flybar, gouged a flybar paddle and took a chunk out of the end of a blade...amazingly destructive those carbon blades if they are loose

Basically managed to get the flybar and boom straight again (although several spares). Reattach the boom support. The ball links for the blade grips also flew off but found 1 again somehow!

So end result luckily only 1 lost ball link, replacement feathering shaft and a chipped blade (prob just fill it with epoxy as its right at the tip do you think that is safe?).

Im new to this forum and helicopter flying. I have a blade nano and think that I am ready to go a little bigger. I'm not looking for a 3d flyer, just one that I can get into cheap and continue learning. That being said,I just purchased the hk250gt fom hobby king. Quick question, where is the best place to order replacement parts and also upgrades for the hk250gt? Any help would be appreciated.
