I do believe the MG-14 servo's will not fit in this heli, without some serious grinding of the frame

these things are selling like hot cakes.. heh

any good 2s setup out there? or i would be better to run it off 3s lipos?

i would like a 2s setup since ive a rotofly and 2 ff200 that run on 2s, so ive couple of lipos for them already.

or mb 4s(2s2p with my current packs)? that would be too big/heavy i guess?

if you did a 4s lipo, would be to heavy and your headspeed would be crazy with the stock 15t pinion lol

yea, i mean 2 2s pack in series, i could use a lower Kv motor and different pinion.

whats the average weight of the 3s pack you guys run in these 250?

just weighted 2 2s 900mah which give a total of 95g.

I will be using a few 3s 800 desire packs which weigh in at 60g each.

i see, 95g would be too heavy then.
would need pack of 500-600 mah to get a decent weight on 4s.

ill probaly go for 3s.

60g is on the light side of things, 75g is average i reckon, but 95g is definately on the heavy side

a 4s 250 sounds pretty cool, now you got me wanting one

or maybe a 6s 250.......

My 250 packs are between 61-75g. The lightest 61g Outrage 3s 800mAh pack is a bit old and doesn'lt produce a great headspeed but I can still do gentle tictocs, etc. My 75g ProPower 850mAh pack is quite new and potent. Tictocs are quite aggressive and it's very quick. I tried an 83g 3s 1000mAh pack but it didn't perform so good. Keep it light if you want to do 3D. Mine is 295g with the 61g pack.

I would like suggestions for HK250GT motors for use with 3S800 20C (16A max and sport fly).

How is it? It's not a bad little heli.

I can say that when I first got it flying it was every bit as good as my Trex.

However, it is not as strong or durable as my Trex. It has 1/2 the flying time as my Trex and has gone through a lot more parts. Partly because I have crashed a few times more than my Trex but now even things like bearings are starting to wear out. the head which has been rebuilt with half and half stock and Align parts is much more loose than my Trex head.

I even had the swash ball fall out for no apparent reason.

Now on the other hand, the stuff I have replaced with Align parts has been fine. I will, however, soon have to replace the rest of the head, which will make it about 80% Trex and 20% original.

I could have bought a new Super Combo Trex and had money left over for what I have in the clone.

Replace the head, tail and gear and will have a heli as good or better than the Trex.

There are some good things about the clone that the Trex doesn't have.

Much better hardware.
More metal. The boom tail fin support bracket is metal. The boom mount metal, the tail drive blocks are metal. Metal tail servo brackets.
Much better tail pushrod fins or guides

When I first saw the paddles I was WHAT THE But I kind of like them now. They are like my big heli with a set screw that locks them in place.
Just to clarify, is this the HK250GT or the standard HK250? I'm seriously considering one of these for a small field inverted hover trainer, but I'm weighing a real T-Rex250...

Thanks!
