Thunder Tiger "Mr. Mulligan"

I just finished this Thunder Tiger "Mr. Mulligan" last night.

I ordered this plane on a very good sale at:
http://www.ehobbies.com/ttr4321.html

The stock model comes complete with a park 350 geared brushed motor. However I installed an ESSKAY 400 XT brushless outrunner.

The quality of the kit is very good. The plastic and vacuformed parts do need to be cut out and this takes some time.

The stock elevator linkage is done inside the tail however I didn't like the small horns supplied and also noticed the limited space to work this type of linkage therefore, I used a DuBro control horn on the elevator and did the conventional hook up on the outside. I also used a DuBro control horn for the rudder.

I also used an old spinner I had in my goodies drawer. The one provided is for a smaller threaded shaft. I like the one I used since it gives it a more rugged 30's look.

Here's some of the specs:

MOTOR: ESSKAY 400 XT
ESC: CC Phoenix 25
SERVOS: (1) GWS NARO, (1) HITEC HS55
RX: BERG 4T
PROP: APC 9X4.7

Will maiden when winds cooperate and report...

Gerry.

I will be very interested in your results.
Beautifully packaged and presented and I think best looking 30's foamie around.
I just could not get mine to fly well and am keen to get it right.
Good luck

It was pretty windy and it's too bad that Gerry could not have waited one hour as around 5:00pm when Gerry maiden this model it was about 5 -6 MPH winds and then, at around 6:44pm it was DEAD CALM

Great video Carlos!!. I will take the right thrust offset and some rudder travel. Elevator travel is ok.

Hopefully Saturday morning wind conditions will be better than today...

Gerry . Nice Flying , I Have A Mr M , Have Not Had The Chance To Fly It ,to Windy In The No East The Last Week Or So . I Put An Out Runner In My . I Thinking Of Putting A Flat Bottom On My Wing, Maybe Thin Foam Or Something. But Now That I Have Seen Your Plane Fly I Might Have To Rethink That. She Looks Smooth For A E R Plane Look Like She Had Ailerons. Hope Mine Dose Half As Well. I Read On The Web The Plane Had A Bad Tip Problem On Landing .
