Blast From Past!

A Robbe Geier "Vulture" I picked this kit up for twenty bucks no build instructions and some missing parts. I saw the orginal mechanical mixer that Robbe used and passed on it and going to use two micro servos in the wings and I am also going to add rudders for a little bit yaw control on the winch. Then for the odd day I don't feel like breaking out the winch I am setting it with a brushless setup which will be most of the time, as I am also setting it up as a AP rig for still photography. My only issue right now is the angle for the motor mount.

Gents,
I've seen one of these fly up at Greens Peak, AZ. Flies very well on the slope.

Have no idea how it would be on winch or high start..

I've still got to try the winch on my Cortina and now the Taborca. But I'm in no hurry..

Bill

I will find out here pretty soon I am just going to treat it like gentle lady on the winch. I am surprised how reflexed the trailing edge is. Its going to be scream on the slope! My next issue is how I can set up twin rudders to act like an airbrake on my futaba 8uhs.

Here are some more teaser pics with the brushless setup and folding prop. All the final sanding is done I cut out lightening holes in vertical stabs. When I fly on the motor I will need to have the battery all the way forward for CG and that means I gotta find some 12 AWG wire to reach all the way back. The power setup I am using is a Ultrafly Frio 10 motor with a 35 amp Hermes ESC with a 10X6 folding prop on a 3s 2200 liPoly pack.
