Great review Tom!

Nice pics too!

Charging a 500mah at a rate intended for 600mah (.6A) will be ok! The stock chargers charge at like .75A so...

What mods are you considering for making it lighter and more durable?

I could share a list of things I would do if you'd like?

Sweet,
Jay

Actually I would charge it at the lower rate. Even though the stock charger charges at a higher rate doesn't mean its good for the batteries. Charge at 400mah will make the batteries last longer. It will take longer however. I believe lipo chargers shut off when the cutoff voltage (4.2v)has been reached.

Hi Jay, thanks! Having fun doing this as usual.
I must say again I had a blast flying it. I can do way more with it
and much faster than my supped up coaxial helicopter which I really liked.

Will charge the battery at 600 mah from now on. Plus it will charge quicker.

Fell free to share anything you like. It will help out.
Don't know any weight saving mods.
I plan on getting the 4.5g Brushless Motor
as dkfuji recommend for a big performance boost. Don't know if it is lighter
than the stock motor or not.

I have my battery charging again and will go back out to fly some more.

The stock motor is ~11 grams so the 4.5 will make a huge difference!

These are the mods I would do in no particular order of importance:

1. Remove all of the 3 pin motor connectors and solder the motor wires directly to the ESC's. Probably while you're changing the main motor.

2. Change the stock plugs to Micro Deans. (or from anywhere)

3. Install "MIA Tuff Skids"

4. Add fishing line to protect the tail boom!!! READ my TWO posts on the first page HERE. THE most best'ist mod I've ever done for durability!!! Physics based structural engineering that works!

I can't wait to see your vid!

I've been thinking about making another of mine in the last few days too with my darthdrk moulded & painted Airwolf body on it...hmmm...

Later,
Jay

I dont understand. You could have just posted this in Daryl's thread. why do we need another cb100 thread. We already have one. What makes this one any different. I will say what other people will not. Please close this thread.

I'm OK with this thread.

I'm like Tom as far as a Co-Axe flyer moving on to what appears to be the best single rotor for Noobs are the market today.

I'm going to be getting the CB100 very soon and apprecitate Tom's review and fantastic pictures.

Nice work Tom.

So who has this in stock now?

Also, does any one know what are some good replacement parts to get with the initial order?

Thanks for the review Tom.

No big deal. Its a free forum. I just people to have some fun in this hobby/obsession of ours. LOL. If anyone would like the little mods I have done so far they can just go to my thread anyway.

Congrats Tom and nice review. It is a really good little flyer outdoors afterall is it not?

I went ahead and ordered one for my newbe brother from WOW. I got some 4g3 paddles with it just in case they help make the heli more agile. Let us know how they work out when you get the chance. Thanks,

That's some good information Jay.
Big difference in weight between stock motor and 4.5g motor. Plus weight reduction of the 3 pin motor connectors.

The "MIA Tuff Skids" sound real good. I will get them next time I order from John.

Thanks.

Tom

Hi John, Happy with my purchase and your fantastic support!
I was surprised I got the helicopter today. It always takes 3 days
from where you’re at to get anything and I got it in 2 days!
These do look like a hot seller for sure.
Curious to see what you think of it when you get one!

Tom
