Im having a similar problem with my Axe cpv the pitch on my main rotar blades is way out of wake giving me no lift and I cant seem to figure out what is wrong with it I have replaced parts etc. I cant seem to fix the problem. Without a picture I can only describe the best way I can the issue. but the main rotar blades wont lay flat. When I turn the power on the blades pitch the wrong way giving it no lift I can seem to figure out how to fix it I will post some pictures in a few hours but if you have any ideas please give me your ideas. Im in iraq and cant exactly go to a local hobbie shop for help.

Guys,

If you go to the heli area on RCGroups you will most likely receive the most viewing and help.

I do fly helis but am no expert. STEVE, have you checked the head RPM? What about the radio settings. What is the M/R blade pitch set to, both positive and negative? Much more information is needed in order to help you with this problem.

i dont know, i can tell you how often i had to repair

1 crash because of loosing orientation and noob acting
1 crash because motor shut down cuz of low battery

i dont know how often i have charged the battery.. maybe 30x ?

at the beginning i had alot of problems with the tail drifting, so i couldnt really fly at all. so most of the time i hovered around testing and adjusting.

Gary,

Post number 7 was meant for another thread, sorry.

I too have rebuilt and repaired my heli many times. I wish I had them here now. I am in the middle of moving and have shipped all of my helis.

As for the flight time, do you set an alarm for 5 minutes? If you do that then it will not matter how much batt is left over, you will not lose power and it saves that batt from being over drained. I have had a few batts puff because of over drawing the voltage (flying too long).

the crash happend after 1:45 min. i had my girlfriend to charge my batteries, so i think she discharged instead of charging full. no idea.

when i fly 7 min in idle up, my 2200mha battery is still at 11.6v.

Gary,

Sorry to hear about a crash. On the plus side you can build her better....
What type of batteries are you using? I was using Thunder Power but switched to Zippy due to price and quality.

Gary,

That is a huge weight difference between a 1800 and 2200mAh batts. Of course that depends on the manufacturers and what "C" rating they are.

If your G-friend charged the batt you should slap her (just kidding) it is your own fault for not checking all the components prior to flight. I keep an inexpensive batt volt plug with me all the time. I double check batts prior to flight in case they were damaged after my last charging (you just never know). I spend too much time and money in purchasing, building and handling of my helis and planes in order to fly. I will not let anything stop me from all of my check to ensure the safety of my helis, planes and equipment, not even my wife.

What is wrong with the swash plate? I keep a full work-shop on hand in order to rebuild any of my ACFT. I shop for items I may need when they are on sale, then I purchase in quantity. Just something to think about.

Take care.
