How long the Li-po last I don't know, But the longest I had it on was 3.5 hrs, But only got 669MB, Its strange only one other time I left it on for 2 hrs and got 1GB video file.
The other night we had a T-storm, Took the cam outside and got some thunder strike, My girl friend thought I was crazy for doing that! Lol...... I'm using Ulead Video Studio, I learn how to cut the video down, But not how to save it so I can post the video on the internet, Does anyone know how to do it? |

I'm not sure, but I think videos are like photos. Sometimes when taking photos, one picture will be much higher in Mp that others. The only thing I can think of is how much information does the camera have to process? So, if one video has a lot of things to video and at another place less, maybe that is why you get more or less during the same amount of time. And believe me, I'm no expert at too many things, so this may be just a lot of hooie!

I went for this one ...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Key-Chain-Spy-Ca...4.c0.m14.l1262 IT "CLAIMED" a bit more resolution ( 720 vs 640 ) I assumed that it's a HD format thang. Plus it claims higher mem cap at 16GB vs 8gb. I got mine with just a 4 gb card. I guess we'll see when it arrives, eh :-) |

I thought the extra capacity (8 vs. 16Gb) was a nice feature until I found out 16Gb micro SDHC cards (Microcenter) are $50+ (the 8Gb are only $17)
Kind of makes the extra capacity moot when the cards cost ~3x the price of the camera.Jon. |

"..How do you set the date and time on these things?..."
Use Notepad, made a text file with this line in it: 2009.09.25.21.39.00 that is yyyy.mm.dd.hh.mm.ss if you had not figured it out, use the 24 hour clock for times after noon. Save that file to the root of the memory card as "time.txt". Disconnect from the PC, power up the camera, and it should read the file. The file will be gone after it reads it and a test photo will confirm it's working. I put in a time that was a few minutes ahead and then disconnected and powered up about one second before the time in the file and it was right on the money. If the text file reads 2009.09.25.21.39.00 N it sets the time and does not put it on the video or photos or films (you can see it on the files still) putting in 2009.09.25.21.39.00 Y will turn it back on again. This was with the chewing gum pack camera from eBay, $19.95 with shipping and I had it 7 days later from China to Maine. The seller responds to emails quickly and in polite and coherent English. On that gum stick camera a 4 GB card (max you can use I think) will give you a fully charged battery continuous recording of just under two hours in length. It saves one file at 50 minutes and the second when the battery gets low so you two, one hour or so each, avi file recordings. Jack |

What amazes me is all the different prices for essentially the same thing.
Time will tell if the vids are as sharp as claimed. I have LOTS of gliders to test this on :-) |

Well here is one of my test.
Its not the best cam, It have seen other video from other Spy Key Chain Cam come out better. I'm holding it the hole time, So the video jumps around. The first scene is a T-Storm, then in my pickup and in a Store. But all in all its not bad for $20. that I pick up from E-Bay.

It's funny sometimes when I think about it. We kinda complain about technology that wasn't even heard of not so long ago. Sometimes I sit here and curse my internet speed and then it hits me that fifteen years ago I would never have believed I'd be doing all the things I'm taking for granted today. We do live in amazing times.
