I just place an order for one myself, But the seller talk about memory card, If its any thing like the one we got, There no place for a memory card?.
The only thing he don't say like the other seller, is the cam a 4GB or a 8GB? That what I have seen so far from other seller. |

To tell you the truth I'm a little scared, But I'll have to wait until I get it.
I did write to the seller asking him about this. |

This ad shows the memory card slot up close. There must be several versions of this camera just like there are of the gum camera.

Today I received a note from the Vendor ...
" Dear birdofplay, We feel sorry that it can only set the time and date, no turn off function. Thanks. - myzone50 " SO, I guess we are doomed to see the date stamp in all these Fob Camz ! too bad :-( |

At 640(720)x480 what is the max video length with an 8gb card?. The reason I ask is I am thinking about using an external (single lipo?) battery and trying to get it to run a minimum of 12hrs, ideally 24hrs continuous. Its for a 24hr car endurance race and I'm looking for a real cheap (and disposable) camera to be mounted to the front bumper. I read somewhere about a euro tax issue that means cheap cameras have a fat32 file limitation of 4gb. So even if the card is bigger it stops recording after a 4gb file is written. Something about it being classified as a camcorder vs. camera w/video.
Anyone actually tested filling a full 8gb/16gb card with one continous file? Thanks, Jon. |

I have the 8GB cam, Not the one that has the card.
Only one time it has happen while testing, I left it on for 2 hrs and got 1GB of video, But all the other time I average about 669MB. |

didnt they say 60 MB per minute or so ?
8,000,000,000 / 60,000,000 = 8000/60 = 800/6 = 133 minutes ! So my 4gb card ought be good for ~ 1 Hr ! 8 gb => 2 hrs You'll have to buy 6 8 gb cards AND figure out a way to POWER IT for that long. Now I dunno how long YOUR flight batteries last but that's good enough for me ! Besides how much of this are you willing to RE-LIVE ? I just save clips of the "Good Stuff", like Hawk encounters, take offs , fly bys and landings. |

I hear ya. 2 hours is plenty to the point of overkill.

Sure, I agree that 2hrs is plenty for an RC aircraft, but my application needs the absolute maximum length video clip. So I guess the answer is, noone has managed to record a file greater than a couple of Mb before the battery runs out .Guess I'll have to buy one, hack it with an external battery and see. I assume 1x3.7v lipo in these? Jon. |
