A123 Balance Connector

Received Thunder AC6 charger and a 6.6 Volt A123, 2300 maH battery from Hobby Partz. Everything great except - The info that came with the battery describing how to charge it stated: "plug the balancing connector into the appropriate input on the charger". Only problem - there is no balancing connector on the battery I received. I have charged the battery without a problem without balancing it. What gives? What are my options? Should I not have a balancing connector so I can keep it balanced? Would appreciate your input. Cheers - John Mickle

Kudos to Hobby Partz - they have allowed me to exchange the A123 battery that I purchased without a balancer connector for one that has. I appreciate their decision on this matter. Cheers

Hello

This pack is for receiver use . There is no need of balance connector since the power needed for receiver is very low. Our included manual is for all the A123 batteries, not special for this one. So there is still the description "connecting the balance connector -----". sorry, You can use it . No problem. A123 battery is really nice with the latest technology.

Jason: I have checked with very knowledgable people who have used A123 batteries for their receivers for years and they have told me that these batteries require balancing. I do not want to lose a $2,000 model because a battery was not balanced and did not perform properly. Thank you for your input and I appreciate that your company will make the exchange. The original battery that I recieved from you is being returned and is in the mail. It was my mistake for ordering it in the first place. Cheers - John Mickle
