No can do, but try one of the Electron receivers I gave Dana. Bulletproof!

Thank you, Alan. I'm in no rush, as Thanksgiving is the only guaranteed day off I have for the foreseeable future.

Hey Norm,

I have:

2 synth Tx modules, one with a scanner board.
1 fixed Tx module (ch 50)
1 72 MHz antenna

You can borrow to figure out your gremlins.

One other thing you might want to look at is the black antenna wire from the main board to the antenna "ball" at the top of the Tx. You can do a continuity test through the antenna to the end of the wire (remove from main board first) to see if you have a connection issue.

Lot's of people have had trouble with the Berg/Evo combination. What receiver were you running? I've had lots of hits at the bowl with FMA/Evo as well, I think it's just a noisy environment.

I'm thinking of dropping a FrSky 2.4 module in one of my Evo's. Although I have a Spectrum module in the other Evo, I'm not certain I trust it at the bowl, even with the 6255 receiver.

Installation of a 2.4 module in the Evo is really easy.

Rumor has it that one of our nation's top DLG pilots has been using FrSky systems for well over a year now with no issues. I don't remember what tx he is using it with though. Oleg would be the guy to ask about it though. I really like the price point...

I know a few people flying on FrSky and are very happy with it. My sons radio is a JR 8103 with a FrSky module. I love the $14 4 channel receivers.

Another option that I know people are liking is Assan. A little pricier than FrSky but another reliable option.

Charlie,

It's just as simple as installing the spectrum module. Probably more effort to install the antenna.

Oleg, eh

How are you doing?

The shoulder is improving. It appears to be a nerve issue stemming from my neck. The guy doing the PT said no lifting or raising the shoulders with strain for several more weeks...

If you like, I can send you what amounts to the Western World's entire supply of Hitec 05S small recievers, plus a handful of various crystals (mostly 35, 37 and 42). And, a synthetic 72mHz module for an EVO.

The 05S is usually sniffed at, but I have had no complaints in nearly 7 years. I used the synthetic module in my EVO, working with the 05S receivers, from 2006 to the present with no interuptions.

Yours, Greg
