30min Epoxy/micro-balloon mixture has been poured and is setting. Will 24 hours be enough to let it set before I can start sanding/working with it?

Ok, then. I'll find my way down there on Saturday. Both myself and my father plan on going down there to spectate on Sunday. We won't be flying. I decided it'd be better to wait until after the "contest season" so that there's less of a chance I'll get in the way. I know that if I throw that plane together, and it's even reasonably trimmed in, I'll be tempted to enter the open. With so many people traveling to this event, I'd hate to be the one to spoil their trip! Next season, though...watch out...

BIG emphasis on the "Maybe" part. We're both aprehensive, as we don't want some of the OOS pilots to think we're "seasoned" timers, then get mad if we mess something up. If the CB or some of the Tucson guys ask, at least they know we're green. Besides that, I'm not opposed to getting involved.

Carlsoti,

You'll do just fine. You've timed before, you know when to start and stop the watch, you understand that if a plane is going up, you tell your pilot "Go over there."

Heck, you could be an "Official Timer", and just work the watch, no coaching allowed, and the pilot could have a "Helper"
