Thats a Flymodel Nr. 136 Sunderland Paper model... it`s 1:33 scale and absolutely awesome... very nicely detailed and has all moving flying surfaces including flaps... it`s pretty huge too... over 1m wingspan

Hi Rudi,
Certainly not lazy! Man, that is definately the best Sunderland I've seen, ever. You have captured the 'look' perfectly. It is my pleasure to announce you are promoted to Sunderland Flugkapitan 1st. Class Depron Flottila, herewith, by recommendation of Captain Mac. Well done Sir. Cheers, regards to you and all the Crew, Al

many many thx. It makes me very proud to get such praise from you !! Peter Angus adviced me that the Cockpitsection is not 100 % correct, but I desc. to let it as it is in fact that I have to cover it with clear folie and it is easier as it is now. Never the less it is still a lot to to on the sunderland. Rudi |

With your obvious vacform skills, I am surprised you did not choose to mould the cockpit transparancies. What will the flying weight be? 'Hope the flight trials go well. Last edited by peterangus; Oct 19, 2009 at 01:22 PM. |

many thx. In the cockpitarea I prefer to make one window after the other (for example my B-17 or the Martin Marlin) This methode needs more time but looks better (just my two cents) . But no fear your construction from my hand will be looking good Sorry I havn't weight it till now but my target weight is 700 Gramm RTFW. I am very optimistic to reach that target. Thanks Rudi, will find the mag when we return from US by the end of the month, had a wonderfull time in Disneyland, Anaheim, CA with the family today and can't wait to meet J.Morgan in Las Vegas in a few days.
Could visit many interesting Aircraft Museums allover USA in the last two weeks, Smithonian in Washington, Naval Air Museum with the only left Martin Marlin in Pensacola FL, Lone Star Galveston TX, Pima Air & Boneyards in Tucson AZ, Unfortunately my old laptop does overheat here so there's no way of posting pics but I could do houndreds of interesting pics for future projects keep on the good work Walter |
