i seen some nice fold up designs, i think best for a larger platform. the lights intergrated will def help some folks.

Add to the list:

- Modular: so you could buy the base and then add-ons if you wish.
- Controller board, ESC etc. mounting flexibility: so I would be able to use it with my own electronics if I wish.
- Enclosure for the electronics & battery: no exposed boards

I don't know how to update the poll, but if you know how to do I could add these options
This being said all you ask for is a priority for me as a user, that's why I did not mention it ;-)
Plus AP ready and FPV ready mean that there could be add-ons for these features.
You could decie what size arms suits you best, I could make 3 different sizes from 40 cm span to 80 cm for example.

Thanks for your vote Dror, it really helps me.

I don't mind appearing dumb (when necessary). So, what is AP?

of course, it's not always clear, here we go :

- AP : Aerial Photography
- FPV : First Person View (video downlink to view in video goggles what the video camera mounted on the quad sees)

Hello Sid
I have decided to delay production a bit because I wanted to modify the design in order to gain more weight and reach a decent flight time with payload (I'm aiming at 15 minutes, maybe more if possible)
I have made some tests on my actual prototype and can fly 13 minutes on a 4400mAh battery, so I'm happy so far since this allows you to do quite some work while up in the air.

I will keep you all informed of the progress, should not be too long now

Well strange coincidence that only today I was thinking that I'm really missing very important thing when it comes to flying my X-BL Quadrocopter ... the strange thing is that although this thing doesn't have that much effect on flight performance ..but for it one is still flying Highly complicated mechanically challenging ,, all clock works eCCPM helicopter ...that thing is the appealing look of the frame ... not just X or + formation ... we really need some innovation in the frame design .. something that makes it appealing like how the helicopter looks ....

I remember some German pilot has made a fuselage out of craft paper that has the shape of STAR WARS TIE FIGHTER and has put it on the original CF frame .. it really made a huge difference ... sorry I can't find the video right now

Good luck

Khaled

hello Khaled,
the idea is to make a simple, sturdy, foldable, easy to fix and yet light support system for a camera, nothing fancy, just a good trouble free platform.
I agree with you that design makes a huge difference, but it is not my primary aim, sorry, not this time
