Icon A5 (real airplane)

This is something that we should have in RC version for FPV

Isn't that awesome?

Yes it is. Ive been reading up on the Icon for about 6 months now. They are pushing to get FAA certification as EXPERIMENTAL and I think its going well.
My boss and I were thinking about going in on one

is there a way to make it RC from scratch? I've never done something like that but I would be nice if someone skilled would make some plans os a semiscale Icon A5.

The real Skyarrow (robotbirds link) is a very cool aircraft, models a bit pricey otherwise I might snap one up!

And may I ask how are you so sure about that?

You did notice that all the pictures in Icon's website are rendered, didn't you?

The interior cabin views are impressive, they look like the interior of a riser with the dash from a cruch rocket. Totally feasible for the Japanese car industry, but I wonder if this company have the means take it all the way to production...

3 words: Automatically folding wings. If I had that plane I wouldn't even require a landing strip, just 2 fake deer blocking traffic on both ends of the road leading to my house

I do know the images are rendered, but check the flight videos. This aircraft is beautiful and elegant, while the seagull looks like a duck with a propeller

Only half joking.
