Cg
Time for setting the CG and a few final checks.
The manual calls out for setting the initial maiden CG at 108mm behind the leading edge of the wing where it meets the fuselage. This is a good idea. The manual also gives 120-125mm for the preferred 3D CG range. So after flying many different Scott Stoops 3DHS designs I feel comfortable starting off at 120mm. I don't really recommend this, but I am comfortable flying with AFT CG's. (You should see the CG on my 87" SHP! )Remember to do a few final checks like making sure the control surfaces are moving in the correct direction. I find this is easiest done at home before the chaos of the maiden piles up in the morning. You know, guys heckling you, threatening to take video of my less than stellar flying... hahah I will report back tomorrow evening with maiden results and who knows, maybe a video or two... HAPPY FLYING! 3DHS ROCKS!!! -Jeff

That's actually a good setup. I flew an 55'' SHP with the same setup and it flew great. Thanks for the compliment. Cory |

The Hyperion packs are great though, all 4 of mine are holding up really well so far. |

Ah cool, good to know for future purchases. I've only tried some of the smaller hyperion g3's, but have been wanting to try one for this size plane. ![]() Ended up getting a hyperion duo, so I can charge those puppies real quick now.
