I cut that off to shorten the vid. Makes me too aggravated when I watch it. Did order a new 15x7 and a 15x8 to try this time.

I need to get my replacement 57" SC built soon. I just need to order a motor and ESC.

Are you running the Motrofly 4315-714? If so then you'll love the 15x8!

Yeah I let that one scrape a little more solid than usual! Afraid to look at the SFG bottom edge.

No that is the old 3625-709.5Kv custom wind. 15x8 will take the speed up another 5 mph maybe.

I finally finished my 57", then I got a change to maiden it yesterday. I didn't get a change to tweak everything so the balance wasn't quite right but some far I love what I saw.
I can't wait till next weekend to really get to push it to the limits as I spent the first 2 flight in low rates just feeling her out. I'm running a motrofly 4315 714kv using a APC 15X6 prop but also have a 15X7 & 15X8 props to try too.
Is there a big difference between the prop or does it just come down to personal preference ?

Just speed increase, pullout vertical pretty much, going up in pitch.

Really enjoying this plane, motrolfly 4315-714, 15x7, 4S... Maxing out around 63A at WOT. How much do you all think the amp draw would increase moving up to a 15x8?

I think you'll probably go up to around 80-85 or so. It's a blast with a 15x8!!

sounds low on the amp draw with that setup. I'm closer to 90amps with the same setup but a 15x10 prop.

Ok... If that's the case, I'll need to upgrade the ESC. Using a CC 75 lite right now, but I could swap with another plane that has a 100 in it. It only gets up to about 65 max, so that's probably safe.

I finally got my 4315-714 bolted up with a 15x6 Xoar and the ICE was claiming ~80A peak (with a storage charged battery). I didn't have the connectors for my wattmeter yet, but holy cow, it nearly dragged me across the room!

i wouldn't trust a 75 amp esc with that motor on 4S. You'll definitely peak over 75amps given my experience with similar equipment.

maybe your throttle end points in the radio are limiting the range?

Yes - you will definitely want to put an ICE 100 in there for that motor.
