Thank you mike for taking the time to meet me and show me your plane, it's nice to actually see one. I told my friends they will thank me for introducing them to 3dhs!
if you look at the specs of the 4315-714 it pulls 80 amps continuous. so the ice lite 75 is not enough you will need the 100.

I hope my Phoenix 80 will handle it. I hate to have to buy a new ESC too.

I'm running an ICE 100 Lite, pulling 82A on a 15x7 Xoar. 4S 4000 20C. If you are using Batts at 30C will pull even more current.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to order a 57" Extra SC soon but having problem deciding on a power system for it.
After my trying a Motrofly in my slick after my hacker went boom, I was looking at a 4315-714 with some of my slicks 4S 3300 & a few new 4S 4000 which I would buy. But now after reading some of this thread I thinking maybe a 5S or 6S might be a better option.

Do anyone have a opinions on which way I should go & why as I wondering if the extra weight of the bigger packs is worth it in performance/longer flight time ?

i went 4s because i have the packs that I also use in a 74" Edge for 8S. I get about 50% remaining after a 6 min flight if I am careful to not blast around full throttle the entire time. I hear that the 4s 4000 setup is pretty common for this model.

FWIW, i'm getting 1370watts static on 4s 4000 25c Gens Ace with the Motrofly 4315-714. It's got lots of power.

I've had mine on 6s ever since I built it, and it has ridiculous amounts of power. It's almost unmanageable for my meager thumbs to control, that's why I'm switching to a 4s setup.

Hey Losi Can I get your opinion? I have a 59 SLick, a 57 Extra SC, and a 60 inch Extra from EF. The 59 has a 4315-668 MF on 5 cells already. Stupid power for sure. I have another 4315-668 and just got a good deal on a A40-12S. Which plane would you put the hacker on? I am building the EF plane now. My thinking is to put the Hacker in the 57 Extra as it is the smallest of the 3. What say you?

NVM, I just found out CC was having a sale. Picked up an ICE50 for my Edge, and an ICE100 for the Extra. Both for around $150!
