My 57" Extra 330SC is a fantastic do everything well plane, but I have not flown the
EF 60" Edge yet.

The EF Edge excels in harrier and hovers. It just feels extremely locked in. The Extra is similar to the Edge in harriers but hovers are quite different. My Extra makes me work a little for a good hover whereas I honestly feel like I could hover the Edge hands off once I've got it locked in.

Rollers are about the same on both. But the Extra is better in KE and all the high energy spins (KE spins, blenders, etc).

I love both planes but right now the Extra is getting more flying time.
That is strange... I'll preface this with I've never flown the EF Edge.

In general an Edge will tumble better than an Extra. This is due to the straight leading edge of the wing vs the taper of an Extra. In general and for the same reason an Extra will be more stable in high alpha than an Edge Edge will be more stable in high alpha than an Extra. Other than that but are unlimited aerobatic airplane and will do pretty much anything you're capble of and in my case more!

Based on everything I know you have your points exactly backwards. Everything you've said about the Extra describe the Edge and vice versa.

I could be wrong though...

SFGs improved performance

Well, an excellent plane became a superb plane today. After many flights without the SFGs, we finally got weather without rain and clouds wherein I could get out and fly with the SFGs. The gusty winds remained and to my delight the SFGs actually added stability and precision from harrier to hover to tumbles.

If you have not flown with the SFGs, try them. With SFGs another dimension is added to an already outstanding airframe!

Oh yeah, if you have not figured it out yet, I'm very happy with this airplane!

Sweet! I did my first two flights without them. After I added them I've never looked back. Just recently I've started getting some looooow HAKE circuits. This plane never feels like it wants to snap out of HAKE.

Great! I'll try the HAKE next time I'm at the flying field.

Now looooow is a different matter. I like this plane too much to scratch or dent it!
