The Slick is on hiatus pending major repair. It graciously agreed to donate its motor. New digital servos on the way.

I just drove through your neck of the woods the other day.

Sorry about the 59, but this one looks like its going to be a fun one.

Motrolfly DM3620 750kv motor for the 57" 330 SC

With a Castle Creations Ice 75 ESC and the Motrolfly DM3620 750kv motor, what's the proven props sizes for safe and efficient operation on 4s, 5s, and 6s for this outstanding 3D and precision airframe? I checked the Motrolfly website and talked to Ken, but I'm looking for advice from those with experience with this set up.

Guys, thanks for all your help!

Just tossing an idea around in my head, I wonder how hard it would be to convert the 57 to a 20cc gas engine? I imagine some reworking of the motorbox would be needed, but has anyone done it?

I've used 15x7 on 4s with this motor. I don't have any numbers to give you, but I've been happy with it.

20CC probably a little big for this plane considering that a DLE20 will fly the schnitt out of a 68" Velox...

I have the Motrolfly DM4315-480 that I plan to use on light 2x3s2200 in series with Xoar 15x7 prop.
Should be nice and light and depending on balance I may be able to go up to my 6s3300 skylipo packs.

On all my 6s setups with the 3620-480 the xoar 15x8 is the ticket for me. Plenty of power and punch and the setup handles it extremely well

Good point... I was thinking 70"=30cc, so ~60"=20cc.

Good news, RCDrum has brought his SC back to life with some help from Rob at ADC. The culprit was a stalled servo that shut down the ESC. I took the back seat out of my Escape and on Saturday I'm taking my 57" SC and a 65" Vyper. This going big is new and scary! I can't surf anymore so I have to do something for a PUCKER! Turning 60 in October, thinking about skydiving. Looks like fun to me!!! Arthritis in my knees, wondering how hard the landing is on a tandem jump?

wasn't hard at all on mine, but I'd guess it all depends on the quality of the other guy controlling the cords

With all of the adrenaline you won't feel it...at least not until later!

Go for it, one of the funnest (and scariest) things I've ever done!
