I like it fine on the analogs. Opinions differ.

Thanks for the feedback... I will keep the 225MG on the order...

I actually switched over to the 225MG to try them and didn't see any difference. I just left the 225MG in.

Letís just call it an experiment. I flew with them both ways and finally decided I like the plane better without the SFGs. You are right however, in the pic they are on backward and I didnít realize it at that time. By the way it flies fine in that configuration.

Mike,
you'll be fine with the servo's you ordered. I have those in all my planes.

HS225MG servos rock. I've used the same set over and over in all my different SHPs, and my SR too. That same set will be going into my new SR. There are really reliable, solid, smooth working servos.

That's very similar to what's in mine.
Scorpion 4020-16
6s 2500mah
16x8 turnigy wood electric (great props !)
225mg's
Castle ice lite 75

It's pulling 54 amps at full throttle (low timing), lots of thrust and cool running. A 15x8 or 15x10 would work well too.
It's working much better than the hacker a40-14s it replaced.
I'm very impressed with the scorpion.
Balance is no problem, for 125mm with a 6s 2500, the end of the pack is right on top of the wing spar in mine. No spacers needed for the motor, just bolt it to the firewall.

The 225's are great, I can't tell the difference between them and my digitals in flight.

I'm really enjoying this 330sc, it's such a well mannered and responsive plane, it's very easy to fly low and aggressively, confidently.

For those running the ice esc's, do not run the 2.18 beta firmware, it loses timing with higher pole count outrunners and will damage your esc and motor.
2.16 with outrunner mode and low timing is what I'm using with the scorpion.

Regards,
Nathan

Thanks for the info. I will change mine back to the older firmware version. I would hate to lose this plane to an esc failure.

++++++++

Thats exactly what I had to do to get my ICE 75 to work without losing sync on my Thrust 50.

Does anyone know which extra long dubro servo arms to use for the hs 225 are? I think I currently have the 672, not sure, but would like a little more throw on the elevator. I have my radio maxed out on throw right now. Thanks.

The longest arm in the DUB672 kit is too long for the elev on this plane. I have my connector on the 4th hole from the outside and I'm past 45 deg on high rates. That's on JR9303X.

With this arm and my end points maxxed I'm getting 45 degrees, and that's with a Futaba radio.

I never got around to moving it out to the last hole because I was so happy with the plane the way it was. On the next one I'll start off with 50 degrees or so and dial in more if I like it. The SC is so well balanced the way the instructions call for that I don't want to experiment too much.
