Yeah. I was in a lot of pain with my foot and it just didn't feel like the right time to hang it all the way out. That's also a fairly new plane, and after last week's epic carnage I was trying to get through the day unscathed.

The last flight yesterday was #13, so I was definately careful on that one. Glad that's out of the way!

I've got a heating pad strapped to my foot, so I'm down for the count too. Call me sometime.

I think it has a 100A burst rating.

Maiden flight report

HOLY CRAP!!! WAS THAT ME FLYING? The 330 makes me look way better than I am. I nailed the CG right away. Flew like a dream. Rock solid harrier/3D, near effortless change of direction with recommended expo setup, but in low rates tracks as well as the Vyper. My set up came out very floaty at an AUW of 5.0lbs. I love the throttle range of the bigger motors. It makes it feel more like a gasser. I can't wait to get up and put a couple more packs on it. Blue is a Super easy to track scheme for my eyes. Killer plane. Might have found a new favorite. Oh, BTW- it lands itself, drops right in on 3.

Peace,
Hebert

Thanks, I will be dreaming about it tonight.
I will see if my bud will bring his video camera to the field tomorrow so I can post some and stop blathering about how good they are and actually show it.

I get roughly those same amps on my GR-60 with an APC 15x7e....and Scott from Reaper Brushless said it was fine. Can't speak for your ESC though.

I have 3 GR-60, AB80 equipped planes.
55" Yak, 55" Katana and my trusty 55" SHP.
The Yak is the only one on a 16x8 Xoar prop. The others are on a 15x7 APC.
(I do go back and forth on a 15x7 Xoar on my SHP).
All of them share the same 4s 3500 30c, and 4000 25c Zippy H packs.
I get, (Static at WOT), around 78 amps and 1200 watts after a Peak of, 1400 watts and 85 amps.

George

I have an E-flite power meter.

Flew for 5 minutes spirited flying and everything came down cool. Sized perfectly. Used 1759mAh out of 3600 in 5 mins. Going to try a EMP 14x8 scimitar tomorrow.

I'm running EMT props on both my 55" SHP (15x8) and my 51" Slick (14x7).

I think you'll like them but let us know what you think of them.

BoneDoc,

Wow, your latest video is your best if you ask me. Granted, I have only seen a handful of your videos, but wow, I was really impressed. Very smooth.

I think I will get a few flight in today. It is only 32 degrees but the wind is down. We will see. Gotta go into work which is by the field.
