bigeclipse,

Before I bought mine, I priced out the 57" Extra with electric (Reaper GR-45, Airboss 80, & two Rhino 3S1P 3700) vs glow (Saito 4-stroke, tank, etc) and the electric was $30 less up front cost. But as TheKM said, the long term costs of electric of this size are cheaper. Plus, the electrics are much more reliable, respond faster, less vibration issues, are generally stronger, and a lot less messy. In fact, I only have one glow plane yet and will be converting it to electric this summer.

(I can keep the canopy and wings on though).

LOL. Is the car remote control too? Driver Optional !!!

Seriously guys, I still need a basic dimension to the top of the canopy in the front, or fuse with the canopy removed. I assume the 16" dimension was to the top of the tail. I would like to verify it will fit in my car. Buying a new car is not optional, no is removing the roof, LOL.

I only get 13.5" to the top of the rudder and the top of the canopy at its highest point

As Rob says 13.5 to the top of canopy, with the canopy off its 12.5" to the top of the turtle deck - but rudder is still just over 13".
