I've noticed that it seems between different flyers who do pulse the throttle some will pulse the throttle once per roll and some will do it twice per roll. So, it almost seems to be somewhat of a personal preference thing as well.

When I was learning rolling harriers, I found the hardest part was to keep the throttle constant enough to get a continuos roll, once I'd figured out 'the stir' the throttle pulsing seem to come naturally as my left thumb seemed to just start moving in an oval shape with the stick in order to keep the roll going whilst in harrier.

Went as low as 13"6.5...haha got it on film to prove it..supprisingly its not bad,,,,,, even wieghing 5lbs......super slow and smooth. Scared to get to low with lack of thrust......but now I know it,ll work with my red wh and blue super light set up( around 4lbs)....what's the easiest way to up load video? Any suggestions..keep this in mind after 1990 I didn't touch a computer untill last yearish..(kisfsp.. keep it simple for stupid people)

Close Call

so far i never had an issue with any of my planes and batteries. I knew that with the 57 and the 4S 4000's i was coming down just about right with just enought to spare to not hurt the batteries. Never hit LVC so far.

Well today i was flying and flew more circles because there where too many airplanes in the air and suddenly i realize i had no power. I wasnt that far up on the downwind leg (no wind really) and immediately turned towards me but i realized i wouldnt make the runway so i just pulled the elevator and set her down into a bush at the edge of the field.

I then checked the battery and saw it was low. I charged it and out 4080 into a 4000. ouch. Guess i better cycle this one a few times to see if it has any issues now

Luckily i got the SC back without ditching her.

Scary. My timer is now set to 5 minutes.

What batts are you guys flying the SC with ? I am using zippy 4S 4000's right now with the GR60.

Those 30C 4S/4000mAh BlueLipo packs are giving me 7.5 minutes and coming down around 15V. I do a lot of half throttle harriers and such though. Not much WOT except for a few quick climbouts.

hmm

i was at 6.5 mins today and mine was empty as in nothing left. I flew more packs later with 5 minutes and took out about 2000 so maybe the one pack wasnt fully charged. Will have to watch out for them now

thanks

I "try" to check the voltage of all packs before installing in the plane...but sometimes a person forgets...at least you didn't take off with a pack that would only give you a minute or two of flight, WRONG place, and have it cut out on you...

silly suggestion that works...Arron always asks me if I have these......

I use the plastic bread tags on all my batts when they are charged... when putting a batt in a plane it gets pulled like a grenade pin and goes back in the bag

saves planes......costs only carbs
