Looks like you got everything sorted out pretty quickly, but anything Eddie flies is going to look good.

Think I'll try 16 x 8 APC Chris (Chribrian) started the flight and handed off to Eddie. Chris is rapidly evolving into a JEDI master

As with the rest of the line up, the 57" SC is one tough airframe. How do I know?
Well, IPS jr got to experience his first "Bonedoc" on Sat.

He yells out "dad I have no control".
I run up, look for the plane & grab the Tx.
"Yup, you're right son, there's no control. Good thing you're in an inverted flat spin. We'll go get it when it hits."

About 15 seconds later it finally came down. Broke the prop, cracked the cowl & motor box. Canopy, rudder, fuse wings, etc are all good.

He had just done a KE spin before he lost control. We found the positive battery lead broken off @ the Deans.

Well...if you're going to crash...that ain't bad!!

That is why I wish Deans plugs had solder cups on them instead of just tabs. (and yes, I know about the Atlanta Hobbies solder cups, but that's just one more solder connection)

That is not too shabby!! just goes to show how tough the plane is!And how good your son is to be doing inverted flat spins so tight and flat that it comes down so gentle...Way to go ISP JR!!

Those look good but I am afraid as soon as I convert to them they will change to another type.

This was our 1st solder joint failure, not bad when looking at the number of packs & flights we have. I'll look at what's out there as we replace batteries.

Those actually do look good, but I between my son and I we have about 100 batteries that would have to be changed... I am also curious as to why Hobbycity says they will be using them on all their batteries up to 3000mAH, why not above that??? Will they not handle the amps above that??? Deans are good for (according to the person I spoke to at Deans) up to 100 amps.

Just to let you guys know I have a GR-60 Brand New never used for sale in the classifieds. I am selling because I decided to go for the 70" size plane so I have no need for it. Reasonable offers are welcome. Thanks

I had the same thing happen with my 55" shp, the pos lead came unsoldered from the deans, the solder melted. I'm not sure why. I was hovering about 40feet up Plane was trashed. After approx 500 flight's I wonder why it came loose?
