Regards,

Bill, for Eagle Tree
I just recieved my Eagle Tree Brushless RPM sensor, and just learned something that I'm sure most people didn't know, and should have been put in the first question...

The pole count is NOT the stator leg count, but the number of MAGNETS! So how many counts listed here are wrong??? All of my posts are.

I will go thru and change them now.

Roxxy 2827-34: 14 poles
Turnigy 2213-22: 14 poles ???

I've been unable to find the number of poles for the Turnigy, but comparing the RPM count in both motors (in the same MikroKopter, with almost the same All Up Weight) it seems that 14 poles could be the right answer.

JGF 500 TH: 6 poles (as listed on their web site)

Does anyone know how many for the Align 450M?

Those bundles of copper you can count through the opening at the end, are those poles or stator arms?

Those are the stator coils. Definitely not the number of poles; both my motors have 12 coils, and (at least the Roxxy) 14 poles.

Well, I see 6 magnet looking things evenly spaced out around the inside of the outer shell. I will try that number first, and compare with a simple optical sensor, until I figure out the answer.

The Align 450M has 6 magnets. Verified with Hobbico Mini-Tach on the ground.

If you read the doc for the rpm sensor, this is clearly stated as well
