high dBi means more directional.

do research on the forum, all the answers are there, that is why you're not getting any replies yet (cmon FPV guru's, prove me wrong and help this poor fellow).

this might also help, good luck.

if you have a diversity video setup, have an omni (http://www.nghobbies.com/cart/index....roducts_id=221) on one receiver (and transmitter), and a patch (http://www.nghobbies.com/cart/index....roducts_id=220) on the other receiver, pointed at the plane at all times if possible

Technical specs mean nothing unless we can get it. Who manufacturers this thing. 23db gain is large along with the noise it must have.

I think for best all around flying, you want lower dbi antenna, used in conjuction with higher power amp. I think this will give a better radiation pattern with out any dead spots of a super high gain antenna.

A low gain antenna and high pre-amp can lead to all sorts of problems, including noise (unwanted signals) reception and self oscillation, the possibility of damaging the input stage of your RX, to name a few.

Hey, dudes, this is not an antenna, is an amplifier !
It not affects any way the radiation pattern of the existing antenna, but I doubt it is equivalent with a 23dB Yagi, because it amplifies the noise too.
