Hacker 20-20L builds
I had some TP 1320's laying around that needed a home and were in an E-Flite bird that had an older 20-20L Hacker. So I went searching for a new bird. I wound up buying a Stevens Aero Model (Stella/KIT) because it was designed around the Hacker. The frame up was 99.9% sweet. The darn build took a long time due to college. Someplace in this mess, I decided I needed a foamie that would also run this Hacker motor so I bought a Lee Ulinger foamie. I found out the older Hacker has a shorter shaft then the newer ones so I bought a new one for Lees' bird. The foamie got built and the SA is almost done as of today because I'm on fall break!
Both birds are virtually indentical in weight and bascially run the same components so I decided this would be a nice comparison of a foamie against a balsa kit. A little different in WS but...wth.
I managed to get about 5 minutes on Lees' maiden before the rain and winds hit and I'm really impressed. If the balsa SA flies as well as the foamie, I'm going to be one HAPPY camper.
