OK more progress! I used some hot melt glue for the fan unit. The fan I used is a little shorter so I used the back end of a marker and pushed the foam to remove the small lip. I did the same on the EDF hatch as well. The wing panels were epoxied on with 5 minute epoxy. They do give lots of gluing surface which is nice.

Since I am flying with no retracts I only need a Berg 4 receiver and I installed it in the nose gear wheel well and placed some foam to hold it in place. I plan on putting a foam piece in the wheel well to block it off.

All finished!!!!

The model balances perfectly with a Flightmax 4S2650 20C lipo. AUW is 32 ounces. I get just over 1:1 thrust to weight ratio.

Hey don, looks good! How about a profile shot? I want to see if it has the correct look from the side before I order one.

Yup me too as I was thinking the nacelles would have to be enlarged to fit the 64mm edf... giving a thick engine nacelle from the side.

Te EDF is centrally located on the bottom of the fuselage then the outlet open to a larger chamber with the six outlet nozzles.

I did some quick calculations:

fan sweep area: 4.87 sq inches
inlet area: 8.31 sq inches
exit area: 5.24 sq inches

so inlet is 170% FSA and the exit is 107%

Starts about 700 and settles to about 650 watts. Should fly reasonably well.
