Morning has my vote, either 9 or 10 is fine. I'm not interested in sticking around for an evening night fly.

Hopefully the weather will be nice that day. Today was still pretty dang hot for September. But a month from now, it could be a great day or a really crappy day. We'll just hope for the best.
If the combat doesn't start until 10, I can still show up at 8 and get a couple hours of regular flying in before we break out the foam. Maybe we should separate this event and the night-flying event. I'd love to do some night flying, but we should just pick another night and do it. I'm assuming everybody will have park-flyer stuff, so there's no reason we couldn't do it at Art Dye like we did last time. |

When does daylight savings time start?
It will still be early in the day at 10 AM with the shorter days in October and it may be colder. I'm in for a night fly but it needs to be separated from the Un-Civil War. |

Try as I might, I just cant seem to bring myself to bringing on the written assaults on our fellow Yanks. Even though they are vastly inferior in almost every aspect of flying, I have to come to appreciate their sincere efforts, and their desire to be ace pilots. Maybe I am growing more caring in my old age.....
I just keep thinking that the group of inept, dumb thumbers, from the North, may actually be good people at heart. |

We have probably 15 total night flyers up here in Weber/Davis county. How about holding the night fly it at the Jordan River modelport or some other central location?

I'm guessing that any Rebels that join in night flying will be doing so with combat planes, and someplace with big skies and grass would be desirable. Are the weber night flyers flying mostly wings, or other stuff like slow sticks and flat foam parkie stuff?

We're mostly flying Slow Sticks. Only two of us have combat wings with lights.

Sorry about my lapse of judgment there Todd. I went back and looked at some of my post and some of the things I said could be taken out of context and one could think I was starting to understand & even like some of the lower life forms from up North. After sleeping on it, I woke up with a thought about the Yanks and this quote came to mind, which seems to fit them very well.
You started at the bottom...and it's been downhill ever since! |

Funny how there is only one rebel that is anywhere near astute enough to build semi-comprehensible sentence structures capable of unjustified disparaging banter.
