Who cares if the ceiling is so low some of the treetops looked fuzzy? We came to fly and fly we did. It was "maiden" day for Bob's new tow plane. It's been flying for a few weeks, but today it really went to work with a glider on its six.

Pictured here is Bob Morrow's beautiful new Super Cub running an Eflite 160 motor, HV110 controller, 20x8 prop on 10S LiPo power. Tows at 60% throttle. Following behind is my trustly old SGS 1-26B. Aerotow is wonderful when both planes are scale. Dumb luck that the color schemes coordinate perfectly.

Look out Fairfield County!

Do you have any close up photos of the tow release hooks on both planes? Especially the Cub.

The Cub release is the Ben Diss release we sourced directly from Ben. Photos here on the HKM website -- right there with you in the Houston area: http://www.hkm-models.com/HKM%20Accessories.htm

I use Graupner tube releases in my sailplanes. Not the source I use, but good photos here: http://www.eastrc.org/estoreglideracc.htm

An excellent tow plane. Views: 263 Beautiful site -- we only have access on Sunday morning, so we took it! Our runway lined with soccer goals. :-) Views: 259 Airborne! Tow toward the mansion and don't hit any goals. No problema. All photos thanks to our fine camera man - Conio. We tried to take his head off a few times, but he was too fast for us! Views: 252 We towed until both planes began to disappear in the cloud deck. Views: 246 On final Views: 253 Bob on the left, me on the right. 1-26 just touched down.
