Well, finished assembling and maidened her this week, she flies very fast for a small plane (close to 80mph ) and now I need to get her dolled up with a paint scheme. I'll work with the existing colors and add a few touches, not too much, but as she is, it's just waaay to simple for my tastes.
Did I mention she flies FAST!

I just picked up one of these P-51s and noticed your post in the warbirds thread. Can you give me any pointers on CG and good power systems? I was thinking eflite 250 outrunner and 2s, but I don't know if that will be too underpowered even while saving a little weight... Also, do you have video? And do you see any problem belly landing her? Thanks.

I tried out some new Turnigy High Discharge 20-30C 800mAh Li-Po's in this plane today and WOW, what a difference... We hooked it up to a watt meter and at WOT with the new batts it was drawing just over 9 amps with over 100 watts, and with the plane weighing 12oz. with batt, decals and a 1/2oz. of lead nose weight, puts it well over a 1:1 ratio, on a 8x6 prop.... All I can say is this is one fun little plane to fly, fast, agile and easy on the eye's, this one's a keeper.
Here's links to the batt's and motor:
