Lots of fuselage pitcures!!!
It's starting to look like a jet!
The fuselage is really coming along nicely! I looked it over very closely and could not find a flaw anywhere. It's straight, true, strong, and very cool looking! This is not uncommon for one of Phil's airplanes, but what is uncommon is how light he's managed to make it! I'm just so proud! Here you can see Phil's incredible balsa workmanship. The nose is perfectly semetrical, and the curves are very pleasing to the eye. Notice the concave area around the exhaust cone. The nose gear well is now clearly visible. It will have a single door, hinged on one sides, and simply actuated by the nose gear actuator. -Joshua |

Couple new phots
Prgoress on the Charger has slowed, but for a very good reason. Dad has been busy working! Ya, actual paid work as an electrical contractor. I very pleased that he has found work in this economy. His spirits are up, he's got a little extra cash, and it's good for his health. He's still working on the jet on the weekends. Here's a couple photos of the progress. I'm headed out to his house today, there I'll get a few more new photos.

Power system and a little golf!
The framing is and complete, and the Charger is being finished as you read this. Sanding, doping, filling, doping, silkspanning, doping, sanding, doping, filling, doping, sanding, doping. Did I mention doping and sanding?
Here are a few photos of the power system. The motor is huge! So big that I will have to locate the CC-110HV in the fuselage, due to a lack of space in the motor cone. And finally a little golf with the wife and friends. This photo was taken last weekend before the first snow of the season hit earlier this week. Fore! -Joshua |

Pushrod Question
What size of pushrods are most of you using on 100mm to 120mm jets? Is 2-56 good enough, or should I go with 4-40?
Sorry for the lack of progress reports. Not a lot of visual progress to show. The entire aircraft it covered in Silk Span and is about two coats of primer away from being painted. Will post pics in a couple weeks of the ready to fly Charger. -Joshua |
