Thanks but both the original and J-Bug(2) already have a "Slowfly.wav" file that the program uses for something (I renamed it "engine.wav" and the program crashed looking for Slowfly.wav). I added the engine.wav file from the Cessna and also added it renamed "J-Bug.wav" -- none of this has worked so far.

So, it looks like none of the following engine wave files work:
Slowfly.wav
J-Bug.wav
Engine.wav

Ideas?

Mr TymbreWolf,

Thanks for the suggestions - I tried them both and I think I'll stick with the J-Bug to simulate the Ember 2. I need to crank up the wind though to get the real effect of trying to fly it...

How do you program the models to fly in the sim? I can get a whole pile of models, but I don't know how to make them work in the sim.

Yosef, you should build a j-bug. Just bits of foam.

There is a great guide to getting started making aircraft included with the sim (at least with the non BMI version). I think it's in the same folder as the editor.

In the same folder RCDeskPilot is installed to. It's not included with the BMI sim.

Use blender I think the .x exporter is disabled by default, so go file>user preferences>addons tab> search for .x and check the box to enable it. It has a steep learning curve, so if you need any help look around on the forums and feel free to PM me.

USB Controller Problem

My RC Tech controller has a problem. I cannot get throttle (CH 3) to go to zero. Is there an easy fix or do I just buy another?
Thanks in advance,
Jim Deck
