So, am I the only one that has any of these things? no ideas from you guys?

I think they are just for checking the lipos, not leaving installed on them. but if they cause a discharge, they could be used to bring packs to a storage voltage.

I wish HC had a motor in the 35-30 line with a little less kv. I have the 1700kv in my F1 and it is flat out awesome but I don't think I'm looking for a lot of speed in this plane. I suppose the 1100kv edition would be OK if I want to run on 3S.

I'm thinking I want to swing the largest prop that ground clearance will allow and go for craploads of thrust and a top speed of maybe 50.

run on 4 cell with a 9x6 prop 29 amps 410 watts 3.2 lbs static thrust

You can make a bind plug with an old servo wire. Connect the 2 outer wires together and you have a bind plug. Dont know any more though

I think the original idea was for them to remain plugged into the battery and let you know when the battery is getting too low. But, I think the lights draw more power than they should.
I guess I will drop it as it seems like a poor product since no one is interested in it.

Wheelnut, actually, it just wouldn't work for me since I have some 5 cell & 6 cell packs.

Now this however I am interested in trying. I can see it being handy to see what kind of torture I really am putting my packs through.

Taylor,
I think $27.00 is a little excesive for a device that only watches one battery pack. Unless it could be wired to watch more packs at once.
I'm sure it has other uses, but not anything I currently need.

Yankeefan, nice. I wish I had one of those.
That is the first time I have heard of a dead AR6100e, was it DOA?

I dunno, $27 compared to the cost of my battery packs... Granted the cost of packs is dropping, but my 5 cell 4000 mah packs were about $100 each when i bought them. Might be worth it to know if I'm beating them too hard.

Hmmmmm.... I gotta catch up on this stuff tomorrow. Homework tonight.

BUT........... Well, today the weather decided that my threats were getting scary enough so it kicked the wind machine into high gear. I got some extreme winds now and two of the battery-rescue tools came down from the tree. No battery yet but it's looking very likely. Probably by tomorrow it'll be down.

I cut a new Weasel Jet blank already out of some Dollar Tree foam that I stripped all the paper off of. It's extremely lighter and weaker but CF will solve that. I'll be putting the little 2212-6 on it; should be wicked fast.

That's all. Homework now.
