Interesting. So... sometimes sacrificing efficiency is worth the extra control. Well at least in the 3D world.

I am liking how it flies. The prop can be cut down to gain better efficiency and maintain the extra thrust.

You will never get better efficiency than with a 2 blade prop. I might suggest a 5.5x3 or even x4 if there is such a beast.

Finally flew the Slipso yesterday with the new Mega 16/15/2. Dunno how fast it's going. The plane is 17.1oz all-up with a 3S 1800mAh pack. Meter said around 640-680W static.

Best pass is at 2:45.

OK, here is the deal with the Nano CP x. It is, in essence, an mSR gone collective pitch, flybarless. I am truly impressed with the heli. I am doing a minor battery test now. I will do a rotor test next, performance blades vs bullet blades. Can you tell it may be dark, wet,and late when I get off work? And the battery study intrigues me.

Video to follow.

G'day Chaps, sorry its been so long, But I have been watching things here from time to time.
I have a vid which I filmed on Sunday just gone, of my brother's electric V Fly. It's a cool little plane, I think you'll like it.

Cool vids! The little V tailed Stick looks fun.

I've flown a Nano CPX. It's quite a handful. I'm enjoying my little Heli Max 1SQ. I've got it working with my DX8 now and can successfully flip it outdoors.

I swapped the 2300 KV motor from my UMX Beast and put that into my new UMX Sbach AS3X Apparently the best combo for the Sbach is the 2300 KV motor with a 5043 prop and packs with plenty of C rating. I can fit a 2S 450 mAh pack into it without modification and fly for 10 minutes or I can stick a smaller pack in it and have vertical forever. It's also much quieter than the 2500kV motor they included in the Sbach. It's very fast, keeping up and even running circles around much larger planes at the field. Some guys are even running theirs on 3S. I cant even imagine...

My new foamy flies very well. I was calling it the Crackbach when I designed it. After contacting TH about the name, (since the Crack series is theirs) I was politely asked to call it something else. It's now called the Stormbach XA42. Unfortunately, I had already made the video before I asked them so it still says Crackbach.

The wind finally died down a bit for the past couple weekends and I've been able to go fly. I love my new Skywing 48" EPP Edge. It flies as good, if not better than any balsa plane I've ever owned. I have an Sbach of similar construction on the way.

And now... it's video time. Embiggen and enjoy!

I have a new stick. It's fast and fun. I think I'll keep it!

I have been working some serious hours, so flying and making videos have fallen by the wayside. I have nearly a weekend, so I made a video. And here it is. Second flight after a couple of no flight weeks.

I shot some better video of my Mini Ultra Stick last weekend. That little plane is just too much fun. There's a turbine powered jet in there too so it gets a bit loud in a couple of spots.
