Thing is,I think hacker and motrolfly are going to give you the best service.Best customer service as well.Altho I wont bash scorpion for the customer service either as Lucien is good as they come.Just stubborn with that dam collet adapter.lolol
Agree with Manta on all this. I've done a lot of asking around this year selecting gear, both at the field and in a few threads and all this rings true to me. Scorpions and Reapers are great when they work, I am told, then SOL. Hackers and Motrolfly owners enjoy great customer service, I am told. Axi is overpriced; I own one and like it alot, just paid too much! Lots of guys are going the Turnigy route with mixed results so I don't know how well those are holding up.

I guess I will need to fly harder next summer to add any meaningful data, but with only 3 6s 5000s I too am at the mercy of the charger LOL. May try a Motrolfly for next season; will not buy a Scorpion or Reaper, however.

if you check the addicts thread, someone already explained whats happening, and ben explained it a while back. they are getting revamped (no aerodynamic changes, in ben's words "some wood upgrades and covering changes")

Wonder if anyone has tried the 14L with 8s on the Slick.

Looks like a heavy motor (17.95 oz = 502.6g)

470 g, and the 12L and 14L are the same weight. and the 12L is not too heavy. and yes, a few guys are using the 14L with a 19x8 or 19x10 on 8s. very good setup.

Saw that 470g weight on espritmodel as well.

After checking from aero-model, all the Hacker motors are heavier. WHICH SITE SHOULD I TRUST ?

Tower claims the Rimfire 0.55 is 268g. I checked, and 290g for the motor, 320g for motor + mount + adapter. A bit disappointed for my light weight SC 57" on 6s.

Quite happy with the 16s, very light (9.2 lbs AUW) for good 3D.

what kind of amp draw do you expect if using the 14L + 8s + Xoar 19x10 ? My Slick would be a little porky then (10.0 lbs with 8s-4000).

A while ago, you mentioned using 8s-4000 on your Slick with the 14L.

What is the AUW ? How many amp with the 18x10 ?

I haven't weighed mine, but the Hyperpion 25C 4000's are light packs!

With an APC-e 18x10 I've seen spikes of over 2600 watts on a fresh battery! I now run a Xoar 18x10 electric, so the watts are most likely down to 2400-2500.

More flights on my new 70 this weekend. However I don't recommend your 3rd flight in a 20mph crosswind!! Getting it to the ground effect zone was a chore. But this evening landing and flying in a 10mph wind it was almost catchable!!

Just sweet!

We are expecting the 4325 to be back in stock this coming week.

Would you mind testing those 4325 with special kv winding (275 and 307) as well ? (prop, static thrust, amp draw, ... on 8s).

This seems to be a silly question.
How different is the motrolfly from Ken and the motrolfly from motrolfly.com ? Hand wind, custom kv ??
