It would work wonderfully just make sure you have good cooling. Soda bottle baffles help alot. I would also reccomend good packs as it would strain them. My 12l with 25c nanotechs work great. Btw ben was telling me after seff how basses the mej was on that size motor on the velox.

Just watch-out for prop strikes with the CF props! My Mejz 26x12 on my 103 lasted 1 landing! But it was SWEET!

FYI, there wegiht 784 grams, and are a 2C rating, and the nano techs are a 5C rating, and weight less :

either way you'll be fine, but I like charging them at a fast charge , less time charging, and more time flying

3" spinner huh, for a 20" - 21"x 11 prop?

Hmmm, If it works I'm good with it

I work right next to Esprit , do you have the link for the fiberglass one you bought?
here is the link to the spinner from esprit. i cant remember exactly what size it is, but i just used the recommendation from 3dhs, 3 inch sounds about right. working on uploading a pic (slow internet) of mine with the mejzlik and sliver spinner that i posted the link to....i think it worked out nicely

well since the 59slick is still 60+ days out for preorder and about another month after to get my hands on one. I think I am going to try to get the 70 slick to hold me over!!! I am going to try (well more like BEG AND PLEAD) to see if SafetyHawk will still let me take the stick of his. I'm sure once I fly one it will be a must have. I find out this weekend if I got approval to do a good size job next month(its not that big but it will pay for the slick and give me Christmas money)

So Jay what weekends are you available

If I go this route I am looking at the 8s set up to use the same batteries as the 57sc and 59 slick. So whats the best 8s motor? I think I want to go digital servos so I can use the high responce in the futaba system(worth the extra money?) as I am getting a 10CG radio. Also whats the BEST esc I can get for this???

Thanks Matt

I looked at the nano's but I don't have chargers that will charge above 2C so I didn't see the need to spend the extra money.

Also the 3" CF spinners are 60 bucks not 90.

I like the silver with the CF prop, very cool

I'll have to toss a coin, between the silver one, and the true turn now

Thats not bad, for some reason while I was looking at the Cf props a few weeks ago, i thought it was more, but I think I was looking at the 5" props

Now that i know the 3" will work, I may go with somthing in this area, or a true turn spinner, or possibley the silver or black one from Esprite models

to many choices!

nice thing about the fiberglass one is that it is lighter than the aluminum, and you dont need any adapter. thats just my vote

and yeah, the CF turned out very nice. im was a little worried about it at first, but its different than the typical yellow and blue ones people are using and it turned out very nice
