No turners slick is older. Like mine. The newer ones l have built the batteries are in a whole new place. With a hv120 & becpro on the side of the motor box the 8s 4k lipos with the 4330 are up towards the front of the motor box with a push pull. Where both my older ones were still mid tray and back with the same weight motor as were my brother's older ones. His last slick that he had was mote like the new one l just built where it had much more nose weight some how or less tail weight.. its weird having a plane setup, crash it, built another one nd your batts are a few inches up from your last 2 with that same equipment.

6s5000 packs are within 20-40g of a 8s4000 setup, so it shouldnt make a significant difference

Excellent work! I might fly a 48" from that narrow lane, but never a 71!

Would trade my Death Slides for those TR's in close.

Depends on what packs your using... Most 6s 5000s are in the 750-780g range and most 4s 4000 are in the 410-435g range. So there could be a difference of little as 30g or as much as 120g.

Thanks Warren! That was the first time I've flown the 71" in that spot but it was fine really. Just have to be careful with all the curbs!

Funny thing.....when I sold my 70" Slick, I took the power system out, and then installed it in my 71" Slick...Exactly the same pieces, which had balanced fine in my 70, and the 71" came out nose heavy!! I had to move my rudder servo to the tail, then it balanced fine.

That is, and it is also substantially lighter than most of the other A60-XX series... Looks like it would be great in a 70" Velox!!

wait, what do you mean by Much lighter? its nearly 500g, the same as a60-5 or 6xs, one of wich was the best hacker on 6s.... versus a60-5s wich if memory serves me right you mentioned was on the upper weight boundary for slick...

isnt 7xs the same as 6xs, only for 8s?

Maybe the specs are wrong, but they list it here at 480 grams, which is 16 ounces..but...probably incorrect, as the list the A60-6XS at the same weight, and they are 17oz. And I also miscalculated the conversion from grams to oz.....

The A60-5S is 21oz.

And, don't pay any attention to me today, I'm a bit bleary eyed, from lack of sleep....

well, 480 is nearly 500! :P im just from tablet now and multi windows is annoying in here... well, if they list both the same weight, than they must be the same weight....

so finally outside USA we would have decent motor for 8s on 70" plane!

Looks that way!! Though the A60-5S is killer on 8S in the 74" EDge, but then, the Edge tends to come out tail heavy...

Also...Aero-Model (the U.S. distributor), doesn't even list the A60-7XS...... Hmmmmmm... I'll have to call them tomorrow and see what's up with that!!

I got a chance to go out for a couple of flights to test my new motor, wasn't crazy about the 20X10 prop with the 5320-300 will order the 19X8. I'm having problem reading my data log on the Ice 100 it's given me an error after the download is finished, anybody has a suggestion I would like to see the amps the motor was pulling in the air.
