Built this amazing kit 3 years ago, had it's first flight this morning.
Life has a way sometimes of getting in the way of fun. Flew a old
Trusty SA 540 to get the new dx6i dialed in. Boy was that a thrill.
Rusty thumbs, new raidio, and 3 old TP packs. Two "landings" in
The bushes by the field and two more good flights (-45%expo) I switched
To the AJ. I WAS AMAZED. It didnt require one click of trim Super stable on low rates, wild on High rates. The two 3 year old zippy 6s5000 did great. Even though I Only had a 17x8 prop the Scorpion 4520-12 still pulled vertical and
Could hold a hover at wot All this at 7200' too. Going to get a
Couple more packs as well.
Very pleased with the kit. Not only did I feel lie a kid again,
It made me look good too.

Just got mine in the mail. Other than a missing canopy latch, and a weird canopy fit things seem great. I am hoping the canopy will fit a little better once I attach the cowl.

Now I am just trying to decide between the Motrofly 4325-380 or the Hacker A60Xs.

Anyone have any strong feelings on which is better (Like to stick to 6s if poss).

A60-6XS.....It's what Joe flies!!! And If it's good enough for Joe, it's good enough for me...(but I had mine before Joe got his.... )....I have two A60-6XS's, an A60-5XS (new 50KV higher version) that I am going to put in my 70" Velox, and also an A60-8S (8S version in my 74" Edge)....great motors!!

My 71 didn't have that "locked in" feel yesterday and after landing from the 3rd flight I discovered why. I picked it up by the top of the rudder to turn it around and felt some play.

71" Slick gas or electric for first big plane

When making the step to your first large scale plane is it better to go electric first or gas? The 71" slick is the largest plane yet that I've had and I still haven't completed it yet. Started building it as gas but been thinking of converting over to electric. I'm thinking that going electric first might be a better way to get the feel for this size and once I build up that comfort level I'll build a 30cc gasser. What do you think? Thanks!

I agree electric first to get used to the size and then gas.
