My slick did the 4 foot splat today.

Anyone have a gear they would part with?
Not in stock anywhere.

Mine actually isn't that badly damaged. The gear and gear plate broke cleanly, the formers still intact. The wheel pants did most of the damage, one ripping a hole in the bottom of the wing, one going through the bottom of the fuse. I guess I'll pack up and head to Hobbytown for some ply, epoxy, ca, and for a good laugh, ask him if he has a Mezj 20x6 carbon prop.

That stinks. I have some of the motor box parts left over from mine if you need something. Let me know. I don't have the LG block though as thats what I needed for mine.

I should be able to repair it with some plywood. The gear plate is ok, just gotta make some new formers and patch some holes. Thanks though!

These guys are making the 71" Slick landing gear. They just don't have them on the web site yet so give them a call. I think the price is $49.99.

Quadracer... ouch! sorry to see that but it does not look too bad. Should be pretty fixable once the gear plate and formers are laminated back. Could have been a lot worse...

Manta, thanks for the suggestions. Looks like I should just try the 4325-380 first and see. I'll go onward with the build!

Steve, thanks for the numbers on the A60-6XS. I'm done with setting up the rudder servo for pull-pull under canopy already so I'm not looking to pull that out now. If the 4325 is not enough, I'll take a look at it again. I've had many Hackers from Mike, in fact my Osiris and 51" Slick are still on Hackers and run great. But somehow I felt the Motrolflys are just slightly smoother and spool quicker for 3D. Not sure if that's really a fact, just a feeling. They definitely run cooler. I guess you just got to try everything and see

So did the gear survive? Mine de-laminated.

The gear is still laminated, I even went around the entire piece flexing it to see if it had cracked. The right wheel pant is a write-off I believe though.
