Anyone by chance using HS-5475HBs on the slick? I've got some sitting here... I also have some 8 year old 8101s... trying to justify getting this over the 57" SC.

I personally wouldn't recommend either of those. Far too low torque in my opinion on the 5475's and Karb. gears. The 8101's while the torque is closer to the desired range, are quite slow and have nylon gears.

What about Align DS610s? They look good can usually be had for $60...

Where can you get the 7955 in the 70s range? The cheapest is 87 dollars at TBM AFAIK

I'm running the DS610 and they are great. High torque, very fast, and great centering.

BTW - I replaced my 7955s with 5645s... that was a mistake. If I get another Slick the 7955s will go back in it.
