Check out my hacker motor today and two magnets were sliding out. Popped open the motor and fixed it and seems to be working fine now. Put the apc prop on there and everything is running much cooler now.

I'm about to start working on my 71. Since the manual is a bit obsolete - any differences in build/assembly process compared to 68 Velox and 65 Vyper?

IMO, you build one you can build them all. Only doublecheck part is the elevator halves and how they go.

The 70 manual is probably close enough.

I flew it a few times w/ the 19x8 at 2200ish Watts and the motor came down warmer than I wanted. I do like Scorpions though, this is my 4th one and I've never had issues with them. It's also a lot lighter than most motors it's size.
I've got 2 and like them so far. The vyper was running hot, not much cooling, I added a duct in the cowl and it runs a lot cooler now. Did the same for the 70 but never really had much heat problem. After 6 minutes, could hold my hand on it as long as i wanted.

It's about 3oz lighter than other motors to. But I'm going with a hacker a50 14L for the new Edge.
