Question
Scale Float Kits or Plans Available Anywhere?

Hi all,

I've been trying to find some scale float kits or plans, but other than the Balsa USA Edo's, I can't seem to find much. I'm looking for something in the .40 size range. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Josh

Thanks, those look pretty good; you could probably pass those off for a Bauman or Wipline float, but I'd still like to see a kit or plans for an actual model of the real thing.

Thanks again,
Josh

Fred Reese Float Plans

Fred Reese designed and kitted a biplane called the "Golden Oldie". He published plans for the floats. I have flown this plane off water the past 10 summers. The floats work great. I believe they have 5 lite-ply bulkheads, a solid balsa tip and balsa sides, bottom and top. I have reduced and enlarged them to fit other airframes and they all have worked well. The original plans have worked for all my .40 sized planes. I will go up into the attic and dig out the source for the plans if you are interested.

Yes! I would love to see those plans; I've been looking for some plans for floats, but so far haven't found any for anything bigger than foamies.

Thanks,
Josh

Try M.A.N. plan service and A.M.A. 's model aviation MAG. the info you need has been published for years in the Magazines. Plans and all!

the modeling magazines contain tons of information that is consistently asked for on line,......... But you have to read to get it!
