ok, just wanted to point it out since you noted you might be making package deals. I'm setting up a 5S glider at the moment ... I've got a lot invested on step-downs and it's a pain

I would neve attach my cameras of the main batt power anyways,I would use a seperate power for rx and cam gear.I wouldnt trust that situation with it configured like that, if somthing goes wrong with you cam gear.
It could it take out your drivetrain and rx, and that would suk .

believe it or not, you actually increase reliability with a single battery system I've got 2 batteries in parallel on the Maxi Swift ... as soon as the bank allows, I'm getting a 5V step-down and throwing out the VTx battery.

Well maybe not, what motor are you using,is your gear heavy?
Mine is for sport use and onmy has bats ,so to get it to ballance better I moved it more forward to help.
You gear might weigh mor so the motor being back it will help you possibly.

not sure I'll try it out to see how the CG works. I'm just not happy with the motor mount embedded only in foam, in your videos you mentioned to put it onto the stabs but they are too much forward

Ill vouch for how strong it is in the foam. once you glue it in with goop, it will not budge or break out. mine butts up against the carbon rods.
trap, I actually think the vertical part of the black mount will bend before it rips out

Ive found that the swept back wing is a catch-22.
You want to put your gear out on the wing tip, but doing so puts all that gear way behind the center of gravity. So you gotta pick your battle, either move stuff farther in so your infront of the cg and risk interference, or keep the VTX and gps out on each wing tip and come up tail heavy.
I chose the later of the two because its perfectially flyable at 10.5" w/o adding any balancing weight.
My AUW is 60.8oz

I just looked a Web DR Zepyr and his motor seems to be in a good place for all around ease of ballancing.

At 10.5 does she track solid with no hunting or rising at speeds?
I am just trying to get a feel for how its handling for you.

I need this baby to stay in a dive, no rising at speeds or stuff like that. It needs to stay where I point it, so I guess a bit nose-heavy is the way to go.

it does get a yaw wobble every once in a while, but overall its not that often. Doesnt rise at speeds that Im aware of, it will just start to pull out of a dive at the bottom of the dive.

I really like how it lands at this configuration. I can come in somewhat slow in an alpha attitude and bleed off speed in the ground effect.

Im going to do some more video flying tomorrow so Ill post up.

Side note, Incase your wondering, max speed in a straight line is around 50mph.
I put it in a dive w/ the motor off and she hit 80 real quick.
Thats with a 10x6.5 folding prop. 11.1 lipo, and a 35-36-1200
