Are the fuses only necessary b/c of your DD kit? The stock heli doesn't have any fuses right?

It is not necessary to use fuses for DD kit. It is needed only when you are using 11.1V batery instead of 7.4V (just to prevent demage of 3 in 1 unit). DD kit from RTF-heli.com is actually the same as tail motor for Esky Honeybee CP3, you can buy it on RC711.com for the same or better price.

Has anybody mentioned about the pinion pitch. Is the CB180D pinion a .3mod or .25mod? I know it is not a .4mod. Also what is the total count of the teeth of the pinion? thanks.

I found a couple of places that sold the 0.3 pitch but after one minor blade strike it removed the teeth so I got a 64 pitch spur gear for a RC truck machined an aluminum hub for it and I am using that now. It is more common alittle larger tooth and a wider gear works great..

I just got the D and have a couple of questions..........I cant seem to get any flight time out of a battery, damn battery's only last 2 or 3 min. I see where most people are getting around 10 min flight time on a battery.
Also the ruder seems to be extremely sensitive. I just move the stick and it spins. Would turning the gyro gain down help this?
Also any idea on the battery thing would be great.

sorry so noobish

want to convert to spektrum

I have the cb180d and love it however since buying a spektrum dx6i to fly my msr I want to now fly my 180d with this tx.. Anyone have any suggestions about converting the cb180 to spektrum gear?

here are my thoughts..

1 - get an AR6k series rx something affoardable
2 - get 2 esc's 1 for the main motor and one for the dd tail
3 - buy a used gyro or get a hh gyro from hobbyking

Anything else? any specific product recommendations?

thanks in advance

dan

Probably not you could buy a 2801 pro but if your going to spend that much you might just as well go with a DX6I and a spektrum receiver..

Hello Jonathan,

I have a link for you for the 10 and 12T but the shop is in France.
They have pinion M0.3, 10T, 12T, internal shaft 1.5mm, then you can resize to 2mm.
In case of, you can found in similar shop in USA, i hope.

Best regards.

That's true. Na I think I'm gonna go either with the E-Flite Blade mSR or I stick with what comes with the CB180Q which is the 2402.

Or does anything speaks against the CB180Q with the 2402?

I mean I still have my big Graupner gas engined Bell 222 helicopter with my Graupner MC-24 (uh what a powerful remote control. I love my German toys)

it can fly

Hi everybody, I have finaly found the way how to force it fly... The main problem of this heli is lack of power, so I have replaced the main motor with a new one from ESKY Honey Bee CP3. Now it has much more power for flying (like it should be from the factory). The second way how to achieve more power is described on RTF-heli.com (replace 2 cells batery with 3 cells one). It probably works, but my solution is more cheaper, everything you need to buy is a motor. No new gears, batery, fuse or anything else, just new powerfull motor (which is cheaper than 3 cells batery).
