Today was the first proper training day after the Worlds.
I reversed the setup to the usual one I had the whole year:
-softer fork springs (original Alleven)
-more damping on the fork
-more preload on the rear shock
-softer steering springs
-harder oil in the steering damper
-Lower front end by reducing the fork legth
Did one by one just too see what effect each step had.
In Lostallo I just did the setup by either copying the other Jabber drivers
or just trying something that worked a bit better. Somehow I
now had the feeling I could feel a setup difference for the first time.
Anyway long blabla: I broke my laprecord and average laptime.
So Bikey and me had a lot of fun giving us the ride of a lifetime.
Second best 8 min run:
19 Laps 8:00,97
Average of 25,31sec./Lap
Best 8 minute run:
25,32

20 Laps in 8:24,09

Hell that feels good.

How much for a fully built model set up as you run yours in competition minuse motor and esc... What other models have you used parts to build this one or do you manufacture everything.... I want one but it will be sometime before I can make a purchase so no rush as you are sold out I see... Pardon me if you have mentioned pricing in this thread previously.... Thanks and private message is good.. Randy

Thanks Torrance.
Without your new ideas on the SB5 RC-Biking would never have got into the future.

I agree with both of you guys!

The SB-5 is an excellent bike... I raced it and I feel so wonderful about it!
And... I can imagine how good the JABBER is too!
Unfortunately it started raining and I didnt have the chance to drive it at Lostallo!
Next time, maybe?!

Edit: Torrance, you should have been at Lostallo!

We had a great race this weekend in Saarbrücken.
I had a bit of bad luck and came in second place behind Aaron. My belt tore apart in the second
final in the wet *bummer*.
At least I took the fastest lap: 18,97sec.

Here and here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Its short approx. 190m on the black line. Lots of grip. No time for a rest. Still we did 80kph on the short straight.
The wall kept me from falling over...

looks like it flows quite nicely, with some long sweeping corners....
great for a good handling bike

Got impressed by this photo from your link above:

WOW

Actually ... I don't get it ... due to the momentums power (or whatever is the English name for it ... the energy of a rotating mass) an RPM motor change will cause to unbalance the bike in one of the two site ...

BTW ...

I got a "free" accommodation for Riccione next year world ... maybe ... ... I could park the boss on the beach and join the event ... but I would be better use my apartment in Austria for get some track training sometime ... where I'm mainly living I have only nice potatoes fields for RC aeroplanes ... shopping malls here even open on Sunday ... even an empty parking lot is hard to find ...

I'm fine for be the slowest on the track ... but I would like to be able to stay at least on the track

Tchuss

The bike works. surprisingly well.
The french have their 4strokes mounted like that in their nitros.
I have no idea why but it seems to be no problem.

Think this might be a good place for showing us your home track there.

Already started a thread on it. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1499321

Just need to make sure we add a request for 'bike friendly' icon as requested in that thread. (I know of a few bike hating tracks ).
