But after some time looking at the pics, i have two questions i didnt though about in Germany.

What about side movement with a so long rear arm. Do you have any shaft inside the arm, behind the motor?

Without spring impact, do you break bearings in the front? In my bike i have to change 4 or 5 bearings every race morning.

Where are you guys getting your crash bar mounts from? I saw them on the thunder tiger bike and a few others as well....

The crash bar mounts, like lots of the white bits on this, on the TT and the AR as well, are all SLA prototype parts, rapid stereo lithography, sintered nylon powered built into 3D shapes by laser in a powder bed, go look it up, it's what I used to do at Rover/Jag, cool stuff and fast to make once you have the equipement and 3D model all sorted.

for the TT crash bar mounts that Edi made, you'd have to drill holes on your frame because i don't think the hole pattern matches any current bikes.

but for SLS parts in general first you generate a 3D file of the part you want made then send it to a rapid prototyping shop that can do stereolithography for a quote. here are some shops in the Socal area.

word of caution though, they ain't cheap. so it would be wise to make sure that your part design will withstand the loads put upon them. there's nothing worse than spending big bucks on a prototype part just to have it break the first time out.

for parts with non-complex shapes and if you're not in a hurry to get them it's probably more cost-effective to have it made on a normal CNC machine.

if you know the distance between the two mounting holes then maybe you can supply them to Edi and he can adjust the 3D file. it's just a few mouse clicks worth of work.

make sure to note the difference between SLA and SLS. SLA generally has a nicer smoother quality finish but it is very brittle. SLS feels 'fuzzy' to the touch but is much tougher.
