Pete,
I'm sure Bill knows but if he doesn't PM Mickey Nowell.

Cali,
For us lazy ones who can't be arsed to read a map could you sort out the GPS coordinates please for the field? I remember driving around Winterton last year asking people! luckily the third person I asked had a good idea as her father was a member. I can probably get there but for those who havent been they can easily miss the turning and head towards the Humber bridge (dont ask!)

any ideas on numbers?

Rich

rich, just got this off the club site

Directions to the club travelling west from the Humber Bridge along the A1077 towards Scunthorpe, approximately 2 miles past South Ferriby take a left onto the B1207 (Ermine Street) towards Appleby, take the second turning on the left (Holmes Lane) then after 200yards fork left and follow the lane for a further 1/2 mile, site can be seen on the left hand side. Sat Nav users: Nearest post code is for Animal Heaven which is at the end of Holmes Lane: DN15 9QY. Exact coordinates 53°39'40.92"N. 0°33'37.96"W

Cali/Pete,

As a confirmed Luddite that does not have Sat Nav how is the route coming from a Winterton direction, last year I found Holmes Lane OK but then went up and down a few times, how far is it from Animal Heaven?

Will it be a record attendance?

Ta!

Hi Guys,
Forecast for Saturday according to XC Weather is 5mph westerly, sunny spells, 17 deg C, although Met Office disagrees about wind strength and forecasts 15mph with 27 mph gusts.

Lets go with XCW

Thanks Cali, No excuses for getting lost now and no need to buy a Sat Nav.

I much prefer the XC weather forecast and it usually not far off the mark.

I think I like the XC weather forecast better Fingers crossed
My local forcast tends to change every day you look at it, its normally right on the day Dont worry to much Joe is bringing in some good weather from Corfu

Pete my sat nav (built into car) gets me to within inches of where I need to be and in the right country LOL Mind you the price I paid for the car it should be good.

If anybody should get lost on the way over just give me a call: 07913781741
and I will guide you in or come and get you

Cali

Cali....
Here's hoping for great weather and a good turn-out of fellow gyronauts this coming weekend. I will be hoping to see photos and comments about a most successful event!
I will certainly be with you all in spirit.

Regards,
Bill

Bill,
Sorry to here you cant make it.

I have been doing the roof on my house today but it keeps raining I'm just hoping that the weather clears in the next few days or it will be touch and go if I can make the weekend.
I have 2 gyros ready to go with a possible 2 more if I can get time on them...the big DAG still has its skis on!! and I need to repair my favourite gyro after letting my heli mate have a go and taking the fin off. Why do we always leave things to the last minute!

Stop raining!!!
